You and I

You came from nowhere, you came closer to me. You took my hand, a strong grasp that I don’t go missing.
I was dragged from place, we ran down the streets. You noticed that I started moving, too. You increased the speed.
We are surrounded by blossoming trees and grass intensively green. The sun shines down on us and I still feel your gripping.
Shops and buildings we pass quickly fading out in the corner of the eye. It doesn’t matter what happens, it’s just you and I we need.

This day is so beautiful, cannot imagine any better. Nice weather, pleasant temperatures and a day with you.
I smile like a Cheshire Cat, I feel my mouth corners doesn’t lower, they stay up. Sensing you feel the same way.
We stop at a shop with products placed outside. I’m familiar with your silly behaviour but even that’s new.
You stand in front of a display with bags of crisps, the shop entrance in the back. You rip open the packages if it’d be okay.

I burst into laugh but try to pull myself together. Don’t attract any attention on this crazy act he started.
How does he always come up with such ideas? It’s still a mystery and some days I might understand.
Eagerly I watch every move, every bag is picked with recipes. Happily moody he asks me to choose one, other people probably think we’re retarded.

Down the roads we leave behind our chaser, our aim is reached. The blue river sparkles in the remaining sunrays.
The sky already changes its colour, a fading sunset so beautiful. I’m so excited, I feel that this is our final moment.
